FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
We compiled a list of answers to address your most frequently asked questions regarding our museum.
How long should I plan for?
Most visitors spend about two hours — though plenty end up staying longer than they expected.
Is the Museum accessible?
Yes — the whole Museum is wheelchair accessible, and we keep wheelchairs on hand for anyone who needs one.
Is there anywhere to sit?
Benches are tucked throughout the lobby, main gallery, and carriage shop. There are café tables just outside the diner too — and yes, you're welcome to slide into a booth or pull up a stool at the counter inside.
Can I get food at the diner?
Not day-to-day — the diner is a preserved exhibit, not a working kitchen. Keep an eye out for Diner Day, though, when it comes back to life for a few hours a year.
Is anything hands-on for kids?
Not yet — we don't have dedicated interactive exhibits at the moment.
Can I touch the vehicles?
We ask that you keep hands off — it's how we keep this collection around for the next hundred years too.
Where are the bathrooms?
In the lobby, plus a family restroom in the main gallery.
Is there a gift shop?
Yes — right in the lobby, easy to find on your way out.
Can I bring my dog?
Pets and emotional support animals need to sit this one out, for the safety of the collection and other visitors — but service dogs are always welcome.
