Museum staffer Felicia Schrader and a team of volunteers are hard at work labeling each artifact and entering them into an index for easy searchability. 👏

In honor of International Women’s Day and our up In honor of International Women’s Day and our upcoming exhibit (opening in early April), Uphill Battle: Charles Duryea's Move to Reading, the Museum is looking at the story of Rhea Duryea, Charles Duryea's eldest daughter.

Rhea doesn't claim to be the first woman to drive a car, but she was likely the first school-age girl to do so as well as the first female to test drive manufacturer's models. Rhea did this in a 1901 Duryea auto in nearby Reading when she was just 15! To learn more about the Duryea auto and Rhea and Charles Duryea, join us for an opening reception to celebrate our newest exhibit on Saturday, April 5 from 5:30 - 7:30 pm.
