Finally! Blooms in our Rosie the Riveter Memorial Rose Garden 🌹🌹. Happy spring, all!

📣 Announcement! 📣
We're hosting a Summer STEAM Series...Join us at the Museum for THREE exciting events this season!

June 8 – Build a vehicle powered by air.
July 13 – Make and test a coin-powered battery!
August 3 – Design and build a vehicle inspired by the trucks of the Boyertown Auto Body Works.

All activities are 10 AM - 12 PM and are available while supplies last. This program is included with your Museum Contribution. Minors must be accompanied by a guardian.

Save the date! We'll be there 😊

Calling all Berks County history lovers and adventure seekers! On April 13th from 10AM – 4PM, join the Berks Heritage Council and nearly 20 of its member museums and historical sites for a day of interactive learning, delicious food, and fun for all ages. This event, located at the Nicholas Stoltzfus Homestead in Wyomissing, will feature displays of unique historic artifacts, hands-on activities appropriate for all ages, merchandise available for purchase, a scavenger hunt, well-loved local food vendors, tours of the Nicholas Stoltzfus house, and much more!

The event is free of charge and will be held rain or shine. For more information, contact Berks Heritage Council’s Secretary, Becky Hughes – beckyannhughes@gmail.com. We hope to see you there!

This photo was taken ca. 1907 during the construction of the once-envisioned luxury hotel.

That plan did not pan out and the "Pagoda" was sold to the city of Reading for $1 sometime around 1910. 🤯
